Barry Croft, President
Barry has been a Paramedic and active in EMS in Alberta for over 20 years. During this time, primarily with Edmonton EMS, he has been a Supervisor of Paramedics, a Training Officer, and Head of Public Safety and Education. He has been seen and heard on numerous local and national broadcasts as an advocate for Safety and Injury Prevention across Canada.
During his busy career Barry has been the Operations Manager of rural EMS services while still working with Edmonton EMS. He acquired his "Facilitator of Adult Education" background from the University of Alberta and attained his formal Incident Command Training from Vermilion Fire Fighting Academy. He has worked as an international Flight Medic, and is proud of his part in helping develop safety and treatment protocols for the NHL's Edmonton Oilers Hockey Club.
Barry oversees the daily operations of CIP and is essential to envisioning and shaping the future for CIP as it continues to evolve and grow as a leader in Industrial Emergency Medical Care.
Barry lives in Sherwood Park, Alberta with his wife and three sons. Both Barry and CIP are active in the community providing services for events such as Safe Grads and financial support to local community teams such as the Sherwood Park Crusaders Junior “A” Hockey Team.

Sheena Erl, Human Resources Business Partner
Sheena joined CIP in September of 2011 taking over payroll and accounts receivable. She has quickly moved from that position into Internal Technical Support and now Human Resources Business Partner. She brings with her a myriad of skills from her background in Digital Media and Information Technology, Legal and Realtime Reporting, and volunteer work in South America. Sheena is often found assisting staff with technical problems, and is always happy to dive into researching solutions for these issues. When away from the office, you'll find Sheena at her cabin, camping, or antiquing.
Brittany Knievel, Human Resources Coordinator
Brittany joined the CIP team in February 2013. With a five-year degree in Tourism Management from Vancouver Island University, Brittany has 6 years of experience working in Human Resources and is still eager to learn. With many certifications in Ethics and Volunteer Management as well as training in Human Resources, one of Brittany's many strengths is her communication skills. Coming from Vancouver Island, Brittany enjoys the outdoors and in her spare time likes to keep active.
Marcel Lavigne, Fleet Manager
Marcel is a licensed interprovincial automotive technician. He did his apprenticeship in British Columbia in 1983-1987 and completed his interprovincial certification. Marcel moved to Alberta in 1988 and worked in dealerships in the Calgary/Olds area. He has 28 years in the trade, 22 with Chrysler Canada, and the last fifteen years working as the shop foreman and services manager. Marcel has specialized in diesel-gas engines, fuel systems, air conditioning, electrical diagnostics, and repair. He has also specialized in truck chassis dynamics.
Michelle Bluzat, Health, Safety, and Quality Manager - CRSP
Michelle worked as an acute care Registered Nurse for 18 years, including 8 years in the Burn Unit. In 2009, Michelle moved to Alberta and began the next stage of her career, starting with 2 years of Occupational Health Nursing in an industrial setting before returning to school to complete her OHS certificate from the University of Alberta. Michelle then worked for 4 years as a Corporate Safety Advisor with an industrial construction company before joining CIP as the QA / HSE Manager. Michelle received her Canadian Registered Safety Profession (CRSP) designation in 2013 and continues to challenge herself with involvement in professional organizations and further schooling. Michelle has over 12 years management experience and specializes in policy development, disability management, and education. At CIP, Michelle is responsible for Corporate HSE development and Quality Assurance implementation to achieve ISO 9001 compliance.
